"when in Rome"...
standing in the midst of the ruins of an ancient Roman city makes you feel unbelievably young and accordingly insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
you might as well drink wine, seeing how it costs less than water (and tastes quite a bit better)
you greet people with a kiss on each cheek
you have a hard time selecting from which Gelatto store to buy the world's best ice cream treat
you may discover that June 2 is a holiday and everything is closed... which is fine unless it rains all day (read: bucket loads of rain!)

Dana, keep up the blogging. Just because no one comments, it doesn't mean nobody's reading! I'm living vicariously though your European adventures. Enjoy it while it lasts!
thanks mike, will do!
"When in Rome..." I found myself thinking that thought; when in Belarus & lifting a shot of warm, straight vodka!!
Keep blogging, we love it!
