grey day

i woke up this morning with a scratchy throat and decided it was likely the best day to be feeling a bit under the weather. it's raining outside and so it's easy to sleep all day and not feel as though i am missing out on nice weather. it's also nice to think that the world we continue turning without me contributing today. this might sound odd, but i don't mind being sick today. i think it's the first time in... well a very long time that my mind has actually slowed down. i am able to look at the mess in my room, and my packing list beside my bed without my heart rate suddenly jumping off the charts. oh, and hopefully if i'm really smart and take care of myself i'll get over this before my world traveling expeditions begin next week!!!! here's hoping.
